We take the Panamerican Highway South, to start ascending the large “Iztaru”. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as we observe a lovely panoramic view. On the top of the volcano you can visit the main craters and on a clear day both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen, once we reach the top we will enjoy the cool climate as we have reached an altitude of 11,260 feet above sea level, if you get to cold, you can always catch the warm vapors that emanates from the craters. If lucky, you might get a glance at the various reptiles and ant-eaters that live in the wild.
